SML Chamber’s 2011 Corporate Cup
Near perfect weather and a meticulously manicured course at The Waterfront Country Club made for an exciting 15th Annual Smith Mountain Lake Regional Chamber of Commerce Corporate Cup Golf Tournament.
The tournament was an 18-hole, Captain’s Choice format with prizes handed out for first place as well as awards for second and third-place winners.
Chandler Concrete of Virginia took home the coveted Corporate Cup trophy. The team members that carried the day were: Junior Adkins, Tony Montgomery, Barry Small, Neil Ragsdale.
Bob Riddick Roofing team captured Second Place. Their players were Bob Riddick, Bob Farley, Jesse Hall, Jack Tressell.
Third Place Winners representing Ply Gem Windows Team were Ken Cobbler, Steve Gore, Wayne Cobbler, Will Gentry.
Scott Versluis of the Charles Lumsford & Associates team walked away as the Putting Contest winner. He received complimentary golf green fees and cart for four at The Homestead 1766 in Hot Springs, VA. The putting contest was sponsored by Blue Ridge Copier.

The Longest Drive (Men) was won by Matt Chandler on the SML Building Supply Team and the Longest Drive (Ladies) was won by Laura Davis, Emerald Bay team.

Celebrating its 15th year, the Corporate Cup serves as a non-dues fundraiser for the SML Chamber. Proceeds are used for the operation of the Smith Mountain Lake Visitor Center, located at Bridgewater Plaza, serving three counties.
The event also supports regional tourism initiatives and chamber capital improvements. Ron Willard of The Willard Companies chaired the 2011 event.
